Amado and I were in San Diego for a day so we decided to visit the Grant family in their new home. In a couple of weeks, Candy and Evan will be celebrating their 2nd year anniversary. Really feels like their wedding was just months ago. The massive number of friends and family that drove out to Julian to celebrate their wedding day, all-night dancing and partying at the reception, best man climbing a tree and not remembering the next day, oh and not to forget Julian Apple Pies! I still regret only getting two pies to take home with us.

This year a little guy named Bradley Michael will be crashing their celebration. I already know he's going to be spoiled by his entire family. Can't wait to see more of this little guy.

Marley's 1st Birthday

It's here and I'm kinda sad it is. Marley has turned ONE! She's been crawling, talking and doing everything else months ahead of other babies. It's too fast but I know deep down inside I can't wait to see her grow up.

Holly and I were so surprised how easy she was to photograph her until we brought out the cake. Last time we did the same shot for her big sister Sully and she enjoyed every minute of it. She's my kinda kid, loves cake. Marley on the other hand wasn't having it. I couldn't help but laugh as Marley cried while Holly stuck her hands in the cake. It took Marley a couple of seconds to realize she didn't like what just happened.

And here comes big sis to the rescue! Sully licked every inch of icing from the cake!

Zhiara's 2nd Birthday

One of the things I love about doing family portraits is that I get to experience the changes the family goes through with them. I got to enjoy Zhiara's bubbly personality this time for her 2nd birthday portraits. It's amazing how different she is from the last time we did their photos. She ran around the room naming all her stuffed animals and was dancing all over the place. It's great feeling witnessing the growth of the families I've worked with.

Paquette Family

Sheila has always appreciated the photos I've taken of Holly, Ryan and their kids. It's safe to say that she's one of the biggest cheerleaders I have on Facebook whenever I post photos that I've taken. It's great that I finally got to photograph her and her family who's always been very warm and welcoming towards me and Amado.

Zivalic Family

After shooting Ryan and Holly's holiday family portraits last month I sent a text to Holly - I feel like you guys are complete now. It might not make sense to others but she understood exactly what I meant by it. Sully now a little over 2 years old, has the combination of Ryan and Holly's personality. Her sense of humor might be more on Ryan's side. I'm basing that on the last video he sent me of Sully potty training. She did however picked up being affectionate from Holly. Amado and I are still enjoying Marley as a baby. We can kind of see a glimpse of  how she'll be a year or two older but I'm not ready for her to grow up yet.

Lindsey and Travis - Maternity

February is just around the corner which means there will be another Zivalic added to the continuously growing family. This time it's Lindsey and Travis who's anxiously waiting for Baby Logan. Although it's their first baby, they've had a chance to see what to look forward to while spending time with their nieces Sully and Marley. We're all very excited to meet Baby Logan.
