"Just Us" Day
Knowing that the next couple of days are going to be really hectic,
Amado and I decided to take it easy and unwind at the Getty.
Even the weather was cooperating with us.
I really love the Getty museum.
Its much more relaxed. You can take your time going from one exhibit to another
and take breaks in between.
Sit on the grass area or the cafe and soak up the sun.
They had a few good exhibitions open this time.
Really enjoyed the Paris Life and Luxury.
Great photos from the Revolutionary Project: Cuba.
And Amado really took his time with the Gods of Angkor exhibit.
I was really drawn to this one.
Mostly light colors but a still very pronounced subject.
And I really like how she's a bit fidgety. Her hand was probably the only thing
she was able to move while she was told to stay still.
Amado's favorite was the statue of Mercury.
"Jeremy Scott Adidas", I told him.
And then theres Lady Gaga.
And of course part of our trip was to eat. The indoor cafe is definitely less crowded
than the outdoors one.
Food was good too and not overpriced.

Scattered Brain
This is how I function daily.
Brew my cup of coffee, dilute it with creamer and one packet of splenda.
Sit on my chair and make a list of things I need to do for the day.
My mind wonders off easily so I always have a little list going on somewhere.
Tons of stickies (program) on my macbook, notes and alarms on my cellphone,
more notes on my ipad, some scribbles on my desk notebook and a journal in my bag.
I like how there are times that I'm the only one who can decipher my notes.
I feel a bit more sane that way.

Old Dog Learns New Trick
Ever since I was a kid, I never liked apples.
The gritty texture, bland taste and waxy peel never appealed to me.
But for some unknown reason I decided to buy a bunch at
our local organic market a few weeks ago and I've been addicted.
It's taken me 20 plus years to appreciate this treat.
I still don't think I can eat it cooked or baked. For now I'll enjoy it as it is.
Next in line, pears.
Well, may be next year.

Christmas Card
I think we're ready for our Christmas cards for this year.
Now I just have to figure out how to do it.
I took a set of Juku and Kami last year but never got around to printing them.
Amado insists we do one this year.
