Le Pliage Cuir

Well guess who's off the bag ban. Yes, I put myself on a bag ban last year.
Saw this while we were in New York and didn't to let him go.
We left the store on 30 Rock and I could not sleep a wink that night.
Well, maybe because our flight was cancelled and I was on the phone til 3am with Virgin America trying to reschedule. But while on that long hold, I was browsing through the web and oogled at photos of the bag.

The color did it for me. Gun Metal.
Simple, lightweight and leather.
Can't ask for anything more.

I love how the bag's look changes depending on how its carried.

Everything that I carry, minus my camera since I was obviously using it to take the photos.

Oh and Makoy snagged this for me even before we flew out to visit him.
Jack Spade was having a huge sale so I couldn't pass up.
I wanted something to use for formal occasions. So folks, start inviting me to formal stuff!

Weekend Score

For Amado, scored his new bandana scarf while we cruised around LA with his cousins.
I kinda want one too but luckily we share everything in our closet, except for our bags.

And speaking of bags.
I've been obsessing over Cast of Vices Corner Store Leather Shopper bags.
Very soft lambskin and quirky. What's not to love!
Royal T had its final event and everything was on sale.
They had the last one and I was able to bargain for it, dirt cheap!
Reminds me of the Prada Varsity Shopping bag but way cheaper.

There goes my self-imposed bag ban. But again, it was on sale! Dirty cheap!
Yeah, I'm still trying to convince myself.

Jack Spade and a Movie

Thanks Makoy for the heads up!
My order came in!
Perfect size for what I carry around with me.

Thanks to Amado too. Even though he doesn't know yet that he bought this for me.

Over the weekend Amado and I caught an early showing of Jiro Dreams of Sushi with some friend.
If you are a foodie, this film would be your food pron.
Musical score and cinematography was on point. I was getting the chills just looking
at the sushi flashing on the screen.
Besides being visually pleasing, the story was also very touching and inspiring.
I don't want to spoil the film so just catch the trailer here.

Oh, some random things we spotted after the movie.
Others might say its a sign.

I say it was..
Sign to get some awesome grub after watching that movie!

Mimot Bags

Hello, my name is Deney and I'm a reusable bag hoarder.
And if you live around our area, you've probably seen me jaywalking to the market with
eco-bags on hand and some Uggs on. I know, I know. Uggs are evil. But they are comfy!
I promise I only wear em while walking our dogs or going to the market.
And going to the movies wearing pajamas but thats it!

In our kitchen, I have a drawer full of reusable and eco-friendly bags.
Name it and Amado's probably bought a canvas bag from them.
I found out about Mimot Bags a while back from a friend.
They had a Holiday Giveaway on their facebook page and I won.

YES!

At first, I was a bit cautious while handling the bag. It's really really light!
But the day I received mine, I tested the bag and it holds up pretty well.
Check out their site for more info and how to grab one.
I might have to convince Amado that I "need" one more in white!

The Burning House

I currently have two online site obsessions.
I'm too much of a cluster-eff kinda person to try out photos for Things Organized Neatly.
The Burning House type of items on the other hand, I think I've always wanted to try.
What others consider to be valuable fascinates me.
Obviously there's sentimental value. Some people put on a little smirk when they
start telling others why a certain item means so much to them. It simply triggers a memory.

While gathering my items together, I noticed that most of them were electronic/digital items.
To me they're irreplaceable.
Yes, by looking at them, you can definitely go to the mall and get everything in one trip
but what they hold is what matters to me.

- WD My Book Essential - holds every single photo I've taken with my friends and family
for the last 10 years or so.
-Greeting cards and notes that Amado and I have given each other since we've been together.
-Juku and Kami of course. They were grumpy today and I couldn't get them to stay still so I can photograph them with my items.
-My all time favorite bag. Name it, I have it in my bag.
-Belly (Teddy Bear)
-iPhone 4
-Canon 5d Mark II and 50mm
-MacBook

ShootSac

I've been going back and forth about getting a Shootsac for several months now.
Covering Barangay LA's march during the Pride parade confirmed that decision.
I was using one of my regular messenger bags to store my lenses and other supplies.
It was such a struggle pulling my lenses out of my messenger bag safely, keeping them clean
and scratch free.
Amado let me order (yes, I do ask for permission!) the Shootsac and I know its
going to definitely make things easier.

I got the all black one. They have different covers to choose from to customize
the look of the bag.

The bag itself feels really light and the shoulder pad helps carrying the bag comfortably.
I'm definitely at ease storing my lens uncovered inside the bag since they used neoprene.
I can grab my lens in and out quickly without needing a extra help.

Can't wait to take for a spin next weekend!

The bag is intended to be used while shooting to carry your lenses and
other items you might need. I do have another bag I use to store my gear.

Papa's Got A New Bag

Papa's got a new bag.
Not me. I wish.
Amado.

We were only supposed to go in for a wallet but he walked out with a new bag.
I actually really like this bag.
I kinda want one too but they only have it in one color.
We share everything except bags.
I'm not really sure why but I think our style differs when it comes to bags.

Big enough for the amount of stuff he usually carries.
