Pageant, Concert and Food

Yes, I actually got off the couch and did something last week.
First thing we hit up was a pageant that our friend joined.
She was "Ms. France".

I was surprise we still had our voices after all the yelling and cheering we did that night
but it was worth it. She took the winning crown home!

Over the weekend, Amado and I drove to Harrah's Casino in San Diego
to see Sharon and Pops perform.
I tried to help out a bit before and after the show and sold a couple of cd's,
which I actually enjoyed since it made me engage with others.
Its one of those things I'm working on, to stop being too shy.

Thanks again Auntie Ruth and Nancy for letting us join you guys.
Looking forward to the next show.

We didn't have much energy after all the things that went on so we just
purchased some ready made stuff when we were home.
I usually don't buy ready made stuff from the market since the quality and taste isn't worth
the price. But these flautas were pretty decent.

I can go to any type of mexican restaurant, either a hole in the wall type
or a chain spot but its always a guarantee that I will get the same thing.
Flautas.

But whats surprisingly good were these ready made Creme Brulee.
Sprinkle some sugar on top, broil and inhale like theres no tomorrow.

And they used actual ramekins to package them. Me being cheap, kept them and plan to buy more
to complete a set.
